David Letterman Apologizes to wife (Video)
Last night during the taping of his talk show, David Letterman offered apologies to many people, including his partner of 23 years, wife Regina Lasko.
Letterman admits that she has been "horribly hurt" by his actions, and that he has his work cut out for for him to patch things up at home.
"My wife Regina, she has been horribly hurt by my behavior. And when something happens like that, if you hurt person and it's your responsibility, you try to fix it," he told his "Late Show" audience. "At that point there is only two things that can happen, either you are going to make some progress and get it fixed or you're gonna fall short and perhaps not get it fixed. So let me tell you folks, I got my work cut out for me."
Letterman also took the time to apologize to the entire staff and Worldwide Pants production company, saying "I'm terribly sorry I put the staff in that position."
"The staff has been wonderfully supportive to me," he added, thanking them for "once again, putting up with something stupid I've gotten myself involved in."
The late night host married Regina Lasko, with whom he has 5-year-old son Harry, on March of this year after 23 years of dating.
