Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem are engaged to be married!
"They tried to keep it very private and quiet," a source tells USWeekly.
The two Oscar winners, who have been dating since 2007, first met on the film Jamon, Jamon in 1992.
Most recently, Cruz denied speculation that she and Bardem were expecting their first child. However, just days after denying the pregnancy rumors, she and Bardem were photographed leaving an OB/GYN clinic in Madrid.
The engagement rumors come after the 35-year-old beauty has been very vocal about her ambivalent view on marriage. "I don't know if I believe in marriage," she told press. "I believe in family, love, and children."
She continued: "When I [have children], I want to do it really well. I want it to be my best project in life."
Cruz previously dated Tom Cruise and Matthew McConaughey before getting serious with Bardem.
