Jon Gosselin On Larry King Live : "I had an epiphany" VIDEO
In an interview with Larry King on Thursday, Jon Gosselin explained why he ordered TLC to pull the plug on the new Kate-only series, Kate Plus 8.
"It's not healthy for my kids to be on the show," Jon said on Larry King Live. "It's detrimental to them. It's my right as a parent and as a father of my kids to determine whether the show is good for my family. I don't think it's healthy for them because we're going through a divorce right now."
According to Jon, his change of heart is not because the show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" will be called Kate Plus 8.
"I had an epiphany one day," he said. "I looked in the mirror and I said, 'I don't want to be this person anymore.'"
King asked Jon whether he thinks Kate is a good mother.
"Yes, she's a good mother," the 32-year-old replied. "I've made mistakes, I've learned from my mistakes, I regret things. I have to move forward...I really didn't mean 'despise.' I regret saying that word. I was very emotional...sometimes you just say things you can't really mean."
