Billy Cretan Saves Boy from Raging Fire (Video)

Meet Billy Cretan, a real-life Superman in the real-life Metropolis.

A New York City store owner, Cretan risked his life to save a 4-year-old boy trapped in a burning building yesterday.

Cretan said he saw smoke and flames coming from the apartment above his store. He immediately climbed into the burning building through the fire escape and found Christopher Ramcharran choking on smoke.

"I kicked in gear, put the ladder down and went upstairs and I did the best I could," he told WCBS TV.

Cretan used his body to shield the boy from the flames and carried him back down the fire escape.

The dramatic rescue was caught on tape. Check out the video.
