Patrick Swayze Dies at Age 57

Patrick Swayze died today after his long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was only 57-years-old.

"Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months," his publicist said a statement released Monday evening.

He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2008 but continued working on his A&E TV series "The Beast" as he underwent treatments.

Patrick is best known for his roles in Ghost and Dirty Dancing. He is survived by his wife Lisa Niemi.

Rest in peace Patrick, you'll be missed!
