Shawne Merriman Arrested For Assaulting Tila Tequila Nguyen
San Diego Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman has been arrested on Sunday for allegedly choking and restraining his girlfriend Tila Nguyen aka Tila Tequila.
San Diego Sheriff's deputies responded to a call Sunday morning at 3:45 AM. Tila Tequila claimed she was "choked and physically restrained" by Shawne Merriman after she tried to leave his residence.
The 27 year-old bisexual reality TV star signed a citizen's arrest warrant, charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment.
Merriman was taken into custody. His bail was set at $58,000.
