American Idol's Jim Verraros to Marry boyfriend Bill Brennan
Season one "American Idol" contestant Jim Verraros and his boyfriend Bill Brennanis will wed this weekend in Illinois.
Despite the fact that Illinois does not recognize same-sex marriages, Jim and Bill will tie the knot in the state.
"We just want to bring awareness to the issue," says Jim, "We decided to do it to draw attention to the fact. Hopefully things will change in the near future."
Jim and Bill met back in 2005 through Myspace. The wedding will take place this Sunday in Oak Brook, IL. They are planning a vintage Hollywood theme wedding, holding an outdoor ceremony with a garden party atmosphere.
