Jaycee Lee Dugard pictures : missing girl found after 18 years

Jaycee Lee Dugard, a 11-year-old girl who went missing in the Californian town of South Lake Tahoe, on June 10, 1991, was found after 18 years.

Phillip Garrido, the maniac who kidnapped Jaycee 18 years ago, kept her in his "secret backyard" and then twice impregnated her.

The identity of Jaycee Lee Dugard, now 29, was discovered when she accompanied her captor, Phillip Garrido, a convicted sex offender, for questioning by his California parole officer.

Phillip and his wife Nancy Garrido, 54, were arrested for investigation of kidnapping and conspiracy on Wednesday. According to police, Nancy Garrido was with her husband, Philip, 58, when he kidnapped Dugard while the girl was waiting for a school bus in 1991.

Fred Kollar, El Dorado Undersheriff said Dugard was healthy, but "living in a backyard the last 18 years must take its toll."

She bore two daughters to Garrido, who are now ages 11 and 15. Dugard and her two daughters were kept in a shack and two tents hidden behind a tree-lined, 6-foot-tall fence at the rear of Garrido's backyard.

"None of the children had ever been to school, none had been to a doctor, they were kept in complete isolation in this compound, if you will, at the house," Kollar added.

Dugard was privately reunited with her mom Thursday night. Dugard's stepfather, Carl Probyn, 60, said he was overwhelmed by the news that Dugard was alive. Probyn was once considered a suspect in Jaycee's disappearance. "It broke my marriage up. I've gone through hell, I mean I'm a suspect up until yesterday," a tearful Carl Probyn told The Associated Press.
