George Sodini has been identified as the shooter in the LA Fitness killings in Pittsburgh last night.

George Sodini, 48, walked into a crowded aerobics room at the LA Fitness gym in Collier, Pa., at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. He turned off the lights and and started shooting without saying a word, police said.

Three women were reportedly killed and at least 10 others were injured before Sodini turned the gun on himself. The three women who died were Heidi Overmier, 46, of Carnegie; Elizabeth Gannon, 49, of Pittsburgh; and Jody Billingsley, 38, of Mount Lebanon. According to sources Soldini's girlfriend was among the dead.

The madman apparently planned the massacre for months and "chickened out" on at least one other attempt, his online diary reveals.

The Web page in his name listed his date of death - Aug. 4, 2009, and was full of disturbing musings about religion and his plans for the attack.

He wrote rambling messages about his hatred of women. He described his mother as "vindictive" and his older brother Michael Sodini as a bully. His diary entries read,

"The biggest problem of all is not having relationships or friends, but not being able to achieve and acquire what I desire in those or many other areas."

"Women just don't like me. There are 30 million desirable women in the US (my estimate) and I cannot find one."

"Maybe soon, I will see God and Jesus.... eternal life does not depent on works"

He ended by writing, "Death Lives!"
