Jens Voigt Crash VIDEO at Tour de France

German cyclist Jens Voigt was rushed to hospital after a serious crash Tuesday at the Tour de France. Voigt, who temporarily lost consciousness, was forced to withdraw from the race after falling from his bike near the end of the 16th stage.


"(Voigt) will undergo a full body scan in the evening," the official race doctor said.


"He regained consciousness in the minutes that followed the accident but he remains shocked," the doctor added.


Voigt crashed heavily during the descent of the Col du Petit St Bernard on Tuesday and hit the tarmac. Doctors said the most serious injuries were to his face and right elbow. Check out the Jens Voigt crash video.
