Michael Jackson cause of death

There are reports circulating that Michael Jackson may have died after getting a Demerol injection yesterday.

According to sources, Jackson's breathing got "slower and slower until it stopped," shortly after an injection of the painkiller Demerol.

Reports the Sun:

A Jacko source said: "Shortly after taking the Demerol he started to experience slow shallow breathing.

"His breathing gradually got slower and slower until it stopped.

"His staff started mouth-to-mouth and an ambulance was called which got there in eight minutes "But found he was in full respiratory arrest, no breathing and no pulse. They started full CPR and rushed him to hospital.

"When he arrived they started resuscitation, giving him heart shocks and inserted a breathing tube and other supportive measures to try and save his life.

"He never regained consciousness. The family was told that he had passed."

Brian Oxman, who has served as the Jackson family attorney for more than 20 year, suspects that abuse of prescription drugs may have led to Jackson's death.

"I warned them there was the misuse of prescription medications by people who were enabling him; his handlers, folks who should never have been permitted to allow him to use those medications in the manner I observed," Oxmon tells Us Weekly.

TMZ reports, law enforcement is looking for a doctor who lived at Michael Jackson's home -- and the doctor is nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Coroner has started the autopsy on Michael Jackson.

Dr. Lakshmanan Sathyavagiswaran is performing the autopsy. The Dr. was a star witness in the O.J. Simpson case.
