David Carradine Found Dead In Bangkok

On : 2009 Jun 04

Oscar-nominated actor David Carradine, best known for his role of Kwai Chang Caine on Kung Fu series and more recently in Kill Bill movies, died Wednesday in Bangkok. He was 72.

The cause of death has yet to be determined. A Thai newspaper claims the actor was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

Carradine was staying in the Thai capital while shooting a movie. According to manager Chuck Binder, the movie's producer went to Carradine's hotel room and found that he had passed away. Binder told Fox News the death is "shocking and sad. He was full of life, always wanting to work ... a great person."

Married five times and divorced four – he is survived by his widow, Annie Bierman, whom he married in 2004.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

UPDATE: David Carradine rep claims the actor's death was not a suicide. The rep says,

"We can confirm 100% that he never would have committed suicide. It was an accidental death. Everybody is in shock."

But various sources are reporting that David's body was found nude, hanging in a closet, with a rope around his neck.
