'Top Gun' star Kelly McGillis Confirms She's a Lesbian
Kelly McGillis, who played Tom Cruise'slover in 'Top Gun' has confirmed long-held rumors that she's gay.
McGillis, 51, told the Internet show Girl Rock that she was single and her next partner would "definitely be a woman". "I'm done with the man thing. It's a part of being true to yourself," she added.
She has been previously married and divorced twice and has two daughters.
The actress said coming out as a lesbian was "an ongoing process from the time I was probably 12."
She added that "I had a lot of things happen that convinced me that God was punishing me because I was gay."
