Adam Lambert Feeling Good on American Idol April 28 Video

On : 2009 Apr 28

Adam Lambert sang "Feeling Good" on American Idol's Rat Pack night, April 28.

Not my favorite performance by Adam but still memorable and better than everyone else.

Judge Randy said it was theatrical. Kara found it "shocking in a good, confusing and shocking and sleazy and superb and way over the top" but she liked it! Simon said "Best entrance we’ve had all year" while Paula felt like she’s watching the Olympics. "you're our Michael Phelps," she said. Check out the video.

This song is from The Roar of the Greasepaint---The Smell of the Crowd. Anthony Newley/Leslie Bricusse wrote it. Newley was in the musical on broadway during the "rat pack" years. It was done simply and uptempo on stage. Both Nina Simone and Sammy Davis did sultry covers of the song in the mid sixties. Such talent then.

He looked great in his white suit as he came down the flight of stairs. He stopped halfway and started to sing, giving a memorable performance. Adam seemed to be in control on stage and got mixed comments from the judges.

Adam's song was the only one I liked this week.  AI was smart to put him last, otherwise I would've stopped watching:)
