Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves took their son Levi to the Surfrider Art and Music Festival yesterday. The couple enjoyed the festivities on Malibu Pier with their little guy.

Matthew's been promoting "Ghosts of Girlfriends Past" and recently talked about life as a new daddy, his 10 month old son Levi and his experience working with Jennifer Garner. Here's more:

On fatherhood:The instincts kinda took over. [Levi] is seven months old now, and after six months, there's a real change. Their personalities really start coming through.
On traveling the world with his son: "He's already got five stamps on his passport! He's been to Europe and Brazil. Culture and travel are the two best educators in my life, and I've been fortunate to have been exposed to quite a bit of both."
On predicable romantic comedies: "If you see Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson, you know they're going to get together."
On his character in 'Ghosts of Girlfriends Past': "It was great to have a character with a full-on anti-establishment point of view. The guy believes love is a myth. He struts through the first part of the story with a very R-rated perspective. The he runs into these ghosts. He doesn't see the light thanks to someone else's logic; it's ghosts. He gets the sh*t scared out of him."
On working with Jennifer Garner: I had a ball with Jennifer. She's very elegant, yet sort of a classic woman, actress. She does her own thing, and she also doesn't bring a lot of hoity-toity false drama to the process. But she's also very sly and cunning and witty. She's with it and she's fun to work with. You might think you're pulling one over on her, and she'll flip it right around. She's very keen and coy.
