Adam Lambert Mad World

Adam Lambert sang Mad World by Tears for Fears on American Idol, April 7 and received a standing ovation from the judges including Simon Cowell.

"Words are unnecessary, but I want to give you a standing ovation", Simon said.

Tonight the Top 8 American Idol contestants performed songs from the year they were born.

Written by Roland Orzabal and sung by bassist Curt Smith, Mad World was the band's first chart hit in 1982 - the year Adam was born.

Brilliant choice of song and a really great performance. Haunting. Beautiful.

I am nearly 50 years old and love Adam's song selections.  His voice goes right down to the
core of my soul and gives me shivers.

One, just because everyone else says hes gay, doesnt mean he is. In less it comes straight out of his mouth that hes gay, then dont judge him, thats for God to do, not u. And dont think i dont believe in God, I was raised right, and with everything in me, believe in God, But Adam is a very talented man, and if america loves him, so be it. I happen to like the guy, So theres nothin really u can do about it. Sorry!! We all believe in different things!! Thats what makes us, US!!!

I've never heard Adam say he was gay and thats noone elses business but his own.I couldn't care less if he were gay or not.Adam has an extrordinary talent and deserves all the good that he has coming to him. I believe Adam will win but if fo some unknown reason he doesn't he will be signed up by a record company and have a fantastic career.I live in Australia and look forward to watching Adam each week. Adam is just brilliant, my heart melts everytime i hear him sing. I only hope it doesn't take him to long to tour over here so i can see his brilliance live.
