Carrie Underwood Wins Big at 2009 ACM Awards

The 44th annual Academy of Country Music Awards took place Sunday night in Las Vegas. It was a big night for Carrie Underwood as the "American Idol" hottie was named the ACM Entertainer of the Year.
Underwood became the first female since 2000 to win the Entertainer of the Year award and only the seventh woman to win it since the show launched almost four decades ago.
"I've had a lot of good moments in the past four years," the Oklahoma-born Underwood said at the climax of the three-hour event at the MGM Grand Arena, "but this one takes the cake.I don’t know what to say! I got nothing. Mike [Fisher, her boyfriend], baby, I wish you were here!"
Underwood also took home the Top Female Vocalist award.
