Levi Johnston Talks Sex on Tyra Banks Show

Levi Johnston, the ex-boyfriend of Bristol Palin and father to her child Tripp, talks to Tyra about his relationship on Monday’s edition of The Tyra Banks Show. Levi was joined on the stage by his mother Sherry, and his sister, Mercede.
 

Johnston tells Tyra that he believes Bristol’s mom, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin knew he and Bristol were having sex when they lived under her roof. "I'm pretty sure she probably knew. Moms are pretty smart."
 

Johnston also says he and Bristol were practicing safe sex "most of the time."
 

Levi’s mom says that a gag order was imposed on their family during the campaign. “When you talk to media you say something and they have a twist to make it sound like something totally different,” she says.
 

Adds Levi’s sister Mercede: “We were supposed to say that all questions need be brought up to the McCain campaign. Other than that we had to say no comment.”
 

Meanwhile, PEOPLE has confirmed with a source that after the break up Bristol is not dating but has been "texting and chatting" with a high school boyfriend she had before Johnston.
