David Letterman Marries Regina Lasko
David Letterman, just said "I Do" to his longtime girlfriend, Regina Lasko.
Letterman, 61, announced the happy news at the taping of tonight’s “Late Show.” The couple, who tied the knot Thursday evening, began dating 10 years ago when Regina worked for him on his show. They have a 5-year-old son, Harry, who was present at the ceremony.
According to transcript released, from tonight’s Late Show, Letterman said: "On Thursday, at 3 p.m., March 19, 2009, at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana, I was married to Regina Lasko.”
"Regina and I began dating in February of 1986, and I said, 'Well, things are going pretty good, let's just see what happens in about ten years...'"
"…I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I -- honestly, whether this happened or not -- I secretly felt that men who were married admired me…like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I'm saying?'" he joked.
Letterman was previously married for seven years to his college sweetheart Michelle Cook. They divorced in 1977.

I am sad for her about him cheating on her. I like him a lot and have watched his show a lot since 1983 or 82, when he began. I am not surprised he did it though--he's never seemed "married". He's always seemed hot to trot--and he is very sexy.
I am glad to see that she is normal-looking, not some goddess. However, I am sure that had something to do with him cheating. He is around all those super-sexy women all the time on the show and some of them flirt heavily with him--like Sharon Stone...She wanted him bad, as several others have. It is hard for him to resist, I'm sure. However, he needs to find another way of handling that stress and sexual frustration. Talking with his wife about it may help immensely. He has never really acted married, he's always acted available. That is part of the problem.
I'm sure he is always on a perpetual search for "the best" of everything, including sexual partners/gratification. However, he needs to realize the "best" comes after really getting to know your partner, being able to fulfill their every need and the joy you get from totally satisfying them. That is so much more of a turn-on than simply the physical appearance. Long-lasting love and comfort from the other can turn into long-lasting rolls in the hay. Sometimes it takes years to get to the point of perfection.
Good luck, Dave and Regina. I am rooting for you both to be better off after all is said and done. I hope you are able to work it out and stay together.
I have to say that I am proud of Dave for not giving in to that guy and paying him. However, I just wish he'd have just come clean to his wife and not have had to embarass her in front of the world. If it were me and my husband were the famous guy, I'd want to know the truth, but I wouldn't want it to be all over the press and for the world to know. I'd have paid the hush money to avoid the embarassment.
Dave, stop roaming--you found a good one! Let her love you. Don't hurt her again, fool. :) I hope she doesn't hurt you either. I am going to pray for you.
