Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney on Ellen DeGeneres Show

On : 2009 Mar 06

Continuing his apology tour, The Bachelor Jason Mesnick stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, to talk about the negative response to the show’s shocking ending and his relationship with Molly Malaney.

"I think what I want to do is to apologize to everybody out there. All the fans of the show because thank you for watching, but this was my real life and it was the hardest thing I had to do. And I made some big mistakes and that's what I wanted to sit here and talk about today—the mistakes that I made. But in the end I found my true love."

He also expressed his regret over telling Melissa on camera about his feelings for Molly...

"I completely regret doing that," he says. "I regretted it every single day since that happened and I will regret probably every day for the rest of my life. The producers obviously really wanted me to do it on the show, but I take full responsibility for my actions. I could've not shown up and when I look back, I was just trying to do what I thought was right for me, and if I could go back and do it again I would not do that."

Molly says she feels a little bit sorry for Melissa.

"You know, there were moments where I sympathized with Melissa for sure," she tells Ellen. "I was heartbroken by this guy, too. So I know what she was going through, but I do give him a lot of credit for doing what he did. Because he is standing up for what is best for him. I think if there is any time to be selfish, it's when love is involved."

Molly also reveals that they are not engaged, but are happy and taking life a day at a time.
