Octuplets Grandfather on Oprah

In an upcoming interview on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Ed Doud - father of Octomom Nadya Suleman, calls the actions of his unemployed daughter and her doctor “absolutely irresponsible.”

Speaking about his daughter, the grandfather of the octuplets says, "I'm no psychiatrist, but I question her mental situation."

“You know what? She needs help. I say to everybody now _ people _ we do need help,” Doud said. “Do not punish my daughter for what she had done and do not punish the babies, because they were given by God.”

Doud’s interview airs Tuesday.

According to The Telegraph, Ed and his ex-wife, Angela, were married in 1974 and divorced in 1999 and “put aside their differences to help their only child raise her burgeoning brood. He plans to return to his homeland to work as a translator to provide financial assistance to his daughter. "

Now she'll allow her old father to return to Iraq to work to help her with this fiasco. And to get along with his divorced wife who is a full-time baby sitter. How can she do this to her parents on top of her shameless reproduction. Hopefully authorities will step in and stop this train wreck soon. It's a very sad situation.

I thought Oprah was hard on Ed Doud the octo grandfather/father of Nadya Suleman. The poor guy is in his late 60s and he is going back to work in a war zone in order to help support this family and not make them wards of welfare. During the entire interview I felt like he was getting so much shit, and even blame for the situation. Nadya Sulemon is in her thirties, how can anyone control her decisions. She is unbalanced and her parents pleaded with her and her doctors to stop having babies. What more could he do? Seriously ppl I know what Nadya did was irresponsible, stupid and even selfish - but lets stop punishing these poor babies. Nadya is being blamed for the economy and taking heat off the real issues. Lets just get over it, and pressure some rich corporations to donate some diapers.

I was just reading the details about this over at EverythingOprah.com. I feel so sorry for Ed Doud and also Nadya's mother. It seems like Nadya doesn't even appreciate all of the help her parents have given her.

I am sure that the last year or so of Ed Doud's life has been interesting, watching his daughter spawn a litter even bigger than her already large brood. Now he's going to a war zone to support his daughter's habit. After watching Nadya square off with her mother, it is clear to me that selfish, pompous, pretentious little bitch is never going to show any appreciation towards her parents. But more importantly, there are 14 victims that need to be rescued from this clearly deranged woman. Angelina, save these children from your imposter!

Ed Doud is nothing more then a con artist like his daughter. He out right lies ...he never spoke to the Dr like he is claiming..the mother did. He claims he knows nothing about his home being forclosed on? Yeah right you said she was your best friend..also he was working in iran..so he says and didn't even know his daughter was pregnant now he is so attached to his grandkids..oh just a group of looney toones if you ask me ...no more interest in them. CPS taking the children is only deciet thing to come out of any of this. BTW her house is a pigstall...she only has 6 and its out of control imagine it with newborns who need help?? If she was doing a good job with the first batch house wouldn't be gross and kids don't write on walls unless they have little respect for their home. And ..who in their right mind would just live with it instead of cleaning it? Gross ..noway would I rent to that family in a million years they would trash the place.

I can tell you that Ed is one great person; we're used work together in Iraq. When he get sick he is gone to Kuwait and he never come back. He is very smart gentleman I know he will do the right thing to help his daughter and her kids but I am pretty sure that he is not coming back to the war zone.
