Jose Angel Vera Falls to Death During Performance

Jose Angel Vera, an acrobat fell to his death during a performance in Arizona Tuesday night.
 

Thirty-one year old José Angel was performing at a golf tournament dinner in Scottsdale when he fell from a fabric chain in front of hundreds of people in an audience. He died 35 minutes later.
 

San Diego resident Jose Angel was doing a performance where he unravels his body from a sash while suspended 15 to 20 feet in the air.   "Something went tragically wrong," said Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark.
 

He fell to the floor head-first in front of an invitation-only crowd of about 750 people who were attending the FBR Open golf tournament.
 

The tragic accident was recorded on video and investigators plan to review it to see what went wrong. See pictures of Jose Angel Vera here.
