New Year 2009 Ball Drop In Times Square

Despite a wind chill, hundreds of thousands from across the globe gathered in frigid Times Square to welcome the New Year by watching the famous Waterford crystal ball drop.
 

Former President Bill Clinton and New York Senator Hillary Clinton joined Mayor Bloomberg in sending the 12,000-pound crystal ball perched atop 1 Times Square down its course.
