Anna Anka - Wife of Paul Anka Arrested for Domestic Battery
Anna Anka, wife of veteran entertainer Paul Anka, was arrested and booked on domestic battery against her husband, reports ET.
According to the police report, Anna allegedly hurled a piece of ice at Paul that hit him in the head. Paul went to the hospital to get the resulting wound closed up with two staples, then later returned home to find no sign of Anna.
The police report says Paul called authorities and reported her missing. When Anna eventually returned home, cops became aware of the situation and arrested her for domestic battery. The Ventura County D.A.'s office rejected the case.
Paul and Anna married in the summer of '08 and have one child together.

Mrs Anka sparked controversy in Sept after appearing in "Hollywood Wives" a TV show on Swedish national TV about three Swedish celebrity wives where she barked at her illegal immigrant workers and talked about how real women should really be homemakers. She wrote a op piece here: http://www.newsmill.se/artikel/2009/09/16/jag-vill-bli-en-forebild-svenska-kvinnor (in Swedish) where she further developed (if this is the word) her views on the subject. In summary she writes: Women should not be working but rather take care of their men, their kids and their home. The most important duty of a wife is to keep her husband sexually satisfied. She has every right to bark at her staff, because they're uneducated and don't even speak the language (she doesn't actually use the words "illegal immigrants") and she actually performs a service to society by hiring them. Mothers should not encourage their daughters to get an education but rather help them find a suitable (rich) husband who can support them. One should always hire people to do dull and tiresome tasks, so one gets more quality time to do fun stuff. (The piece really comes across more like the drunk ramblings of a trophy wife in defence of her lifestyle than a serious polemical article)
This sparked an intensive debate in Sweden with a surprisingly large number of people in support of her article. Others suspect the whole thing to be a gigantic PR coup. Mrs Anka suddenly appears in a number of shows and media from nowhere.
