Actor Paul Benedict Dies at 70

Actor Paul Benedict was found dead Monday at his home on Martha's Vineyard. He was 70. The cause of death is under investigation, according to Benedict's brother, Charles.
Benedict made numerous appearances in television and movies including the 1977 Oscar winner The Goodbye Girl, The Freshman and This Is Spinal Tap. He is probably best recognized for his roles as The Number Painter on the PBS children's show Sesame Street, and as the quirky English neighbor "Harry Bentley" on the CBS sitcom The Jeffersons. He was an accomplished theater actor as well, having appeared on Broadway multiple times.
