How I Met Your Mother star Cobie Smulders and actor Taran Killam are expecting their first child.

Smulders, 26, who plays Robin Scherbatsky on the CBS hit, is due in late spring, Smulders's rep confirms exclusively to PEOPLE.

The couple met through a mutual friend, and have worked together on HIMYM.
