Abby Elliott and Michaela Watkins Join SNL Cast
Abby Elliott and Michaela Watkins will be joining the cast of Saturday Night Live, replacing Amy Poehler and Tina Fey, NBC announced Thursday.
"NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' has its own post-election 'transition team' gearing up as the show begins adding new faces Abby Elliott and Michaela Watkins as featured players," the network said in a release. "They will begin appearing on the show this weekend."
Abby, 21, is the daughter of comedian and actor Chris Elliott, who himself was a cast member of SNL.
Michaela Watkins has worked in the famed Groundlings comedy troupe and The Upright Citizens Brigade before being invited to SNL.
