Here's the new GAP Holiday ad campaign featuring Jennifer Hudson in a bright red sweater. The ad was shot in New York City back in July.
Hudson, who is still mourning the death of her mother, brother, and nephew, apparently, gave the green light for the campaign to be launched - despite the fact that the timing might seem inappropriate.
The singer was given the option to back out, according to Gap spokesperson Olive Doyne. "She said she wanted to be a part of it and that we should move forward," Doyne says.
The ad, which includes the tagline "Shine Your Own Star," can be seen in magazines and newspapers and on billboards in New York and Los Angeles.
