Barack Obama’s Grandmother Dies

Sad news to report - Madelyn Dunham, Barack Obama's grandmother died today. The Democratic presidential candidate released a joint statement with his sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng:

"It is with great sadness that we announce that our grandmother, Madelyn Dunham, has died peacefully after a battle with cancer. She was the cornerstone of our family, and a woman of extraordinary accomplishment, strength, and humility."
 

Just over a week ago, Mr Obama took a break from campaigning and flew to Hawaii to be with Mrs Dunham.
 

Our condolences go out to the family!

MY HEART GOES OUT TO THE OBAMA FAMILY, I ONLY WISH SHE COULD OF SEEN HER GRANDSON BECOME THE FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT, SHE WILL STILL BE PROUD, I JUST HOPE THIS DONT MAKE HIM WEAK, AND LOOSE THE VALUES HE HAVE TO INSTILL TO GET US  ALL BACK 0N THE RIGHT TRACK. WHY ARE PEOPLE BEING NEGATIVE IF HE DOES WIN, AS MANY PRESIDENTS THAT HAVE WON, WE NEVER WWANTED TO HAVE A RIOT.  GET WITH IT AMERICA, WE ARE ALL SUFFERING, EXCEPT THE RICH.
