The main reason Touch My Body went to #1 in the USA was..one of her unofficial fan clubs offered prizes to whoever downloaded and requested most. It failed miserably worldwide.

Something need to be done and Mariah Carey's victory 18th #1s over Elvis Presley in 2008 is the most pathetic and purely based in airplay not sales.

It's funny how people can speculate about how Mariah rose to fame, yet they forget to consider the obvious. Regardless of airplay Mariah has a huge and strong following of fans that love her to pieces and will forever treasure her recordings. She has the voice of an angel and a sense of humor that could lighten up a funeral. She is a beautiful perosn in and out and the dozens of songs she's written display that perfectly. Only true fans that hear her gems on her albums get to know this side of her. All haters need to check out :
