Liz Hurley's Safety Pin Dress Voted the Greatest Red Carpet Gown

Liz Hurley's safety-pin dress has been voted the greatest red carpet gown of all time. Hurley wore the Versace number for the London premiere of then boyfriend Hugh Grant’s 1994 movie ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’.
The revealing black dress with plunging neckline and daring side panels appeared to be barely held together by large gold safety pins.
A spokeswoman for UK department store Debenhams, who carried out the poll, said: "Liz Hurley's daring safety-pin dress is one of the most famous black dresses worn on the red carpet, which made her a household name overnight."
The list also includes dresses worn by Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Lopez, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, Halle Berry, Bjork and Kate Moss.
