"Austin Powers" Actor Joe Son Arrested On Gang Rape Charges
Joe Son, the actor that played Random Task in the first Austin Powers movie, has been arrested on Tuesday on gang rape charges that happened almost two decades ago.
Son's alleged involvement in the Christmas Eve 1990 rape came to light when he provided DNA after being arrested for vandalism in May. Investigators found his sample connected him to an unsolved gang rape case in which a woman was pistol-whipped, raped, threatened with death and finally released wearing nothing but a blindfold.
Son, 39, has been charged with numerous crimes, including five felony counts of rape. If found guilty, Son will face a maximum sentence of 275 years to life imprisonment. His bail is set at $1 million.
