Jennifer Lopez Suing Over Nervous Breakdown Story

Jennifer Lopez is taking legal action against a website for publishing quotes about her having a 'nervous breakdown'.
The singer was being interviewed by Elle magazine’s Kevin Sessums when she opened up about her recent emotional breakdown, her thoughts on Scientology, selling celebrity baby photos and breast feeding.
Lopez reportedly told Sessums she experienced depression following the birth of her and husband Marc Anthony’s twins, Emme and Max.
“At the tenth day after giving birth all that chemical stuff did peak — that hormone thing — and I did cry a lot that day because I was having so much trouble moving. I couldn’t get up fast enough to feed the babies…” Lopez tells Sessums.
“Marc was helping out a lot and I was crying and crying and going, ‘Oh, Papi… they’re going to know everybody more than me…They’re going to love everybody more than me!’”
J.Lo’s baby blues were not her first bout with emotional turmoil, according to Sessums. The actress revealed she had a breakdown during the filming of her 2002 movie “Enough.”
“There was a time when I was very overworked and I was doing music and movies and so many things. I was suffering from a lack of sleep. And I did have a kind of nervous breakdown. I froze up on a set. Well, not on a set, but in my trailer. I was like, ‘I don’t want to move. I don’t want to talk. I don’t want to do anything.’ It was on that movie Enough [in 2002],” Lopez said. “Yeah. I did. I had a nervous breakdown.”
She later withdrew the comments because she wasn’t ‘comfortable with the questioning,’ says her rep.
Despite her request, the entire interview has appeared on website The Daily Beast. Lopez’s team have now sent a legal letter to the website.
