PETA Suggests Breast Milk Ice Cream

On : 2008 Sep 24

PETA has officially gone bonkers. PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, sent a letter to the founders of Ben and Jerry's suggesting them to replace cow's milk with human breast milk in their ice cream. In the letter PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman writes,

The breast is best! Won't you give cows and their babies a break and our health a boost by switching from cow's milk to breast milk in Ben and Jerry's ice cream?

Cows only produce milk before and after pregnancy, the letter says. They are forcefully impregnated every nine months in order to be constantly milked, Reiman wrote.

I truly understand this issue, but the solution is not women turning into dairy cows for the nation.

The ice cream makers responded saying, "Mother's milk is best used for her child."
