Barack Obama - 57 States (video)
During a campaign speech, in Beaverton, Oregon, Barack Obama said he had visited 57 states.
"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon. Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states. I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."
Unbelievable! Obama actually said he had already visited 57 states, one left to go but couldn't go to Alaska and Hawaii. That would make 60 states!
This '57 states' controversy, from the Democratic primary, is back after one brief slip of the tongue on TV Sunday. Obama referred to "his Muslim faith" in an interview with George Stephanopoulos. The critics are back at it, as there are 57 Muslim states.
The Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) is the second largest inter-governmental organization after the United Nations which has membership of 57 states spread over four continents," according to the Organization of the Islamic Conference.
