David Archuleta's Crush Music Video

Check out the new music video for Crush - the debut single by David Archuleta, American Idol seventh season runner-up.

The video was shot in Georgia and directed by Declan Whitebloom. It shows David playing piano down by a river and is then cut by a capture of him and some of his friends, including a girl that he falls in love with, going on a picnic.

The song debuted August 1, 2008 on New York City radio station Z100.

Absolutely perfect video for this song. Jive got it right on the money! Totally exceeded my expectations!
Sweet, innocent, lovable, cute as Archie is! The piano by the water… the soft light… and the smile at the end is way better than a kissing scene! They managed to show so many sides of him. I love his expressions and the feeling he puts into the song… He plays the piano, the guitar, he can actually act… or just stay there just being archadorable… and… oh, the vocals that melt anyone´s heart!

This video complements the song perfectly. It will have appeal to David’s fans in the tween/teen set, as well as the older fans. Jive has shown respect for the person and the artist that David is - they haven’t tried to shoehorn him into an image that runs counter to who he is… that’s part of his appeal - … the shy, humble, sometimes awkard but extraordinarily talented teenager on the cusp of manhood…. for that I am grateful. Kudos David - WELL DONE ON YOUR FIRST VIDEO. Your foot is in the door now, and this video will open it to a much wider audience than you could ever have IMAGINED…. Your fans are proud of all you’ve accomplished in this past year, and are behind you all the way.

David has a fresh appeal and a talent that cannot be denied. I have been impressed with his growth as a person, and as an artist since his first Idol appearance. It’s good to see someone so young be given an opportunity to realize their dreams, and to have him be as down to earth, humble and as appreciative as his fans are of the success he’s attained. I look forward to buying his album, keeping tabs on his career, and getting to see him perform as a solo artist. WELL DONE David on a great year of surprises and successes - and here’s to many more of the same!
