Actor Shelley Malil, who has appeared in films such as "The 40 Year Old Virgin," was arrested Monday after allegedly stabbed a woman over 20 times. The victim has been identified as Kendra Beebe, a 35-year-old mother of two, reports TMZ.

Neighbors told TMZ that Malil and Kendra Beebe were spotted going to the gym Sunday morning. Over the weekend one neighbor saw them pack up the car with Beebe's two kids for a beach outing.

The kids were there when their mother was attacked. One neighbor tells he saw Malil attacking Beebe with a knife, and saw another man in the backyard, who appeared to be trying to stop the attack.

Malil gained national attention by playing "Chad," one of the Budweiser Wassup?! guys (see video). Malil has also appeared in Scrubs, Seinfeld and NYPD Blue.
