American Idol judge Paula Abdul's ex-boyfriend JT Torregiani is rumored to be the next Bachelor on ABC’s hit dating show.
 

According to the New York Post, Restaurateur J.T. was approached by producers a couple of years ago, but declined because he met Paula. The couple ended their relationship a few months ago, after dating for a little over a year.
 

Torregiani is one of the partners of the Dolce Group, a restaurant and nightclub enterprise, which includes Los Angeles hot spots Les Deux, Geisha House, Bella, Ketchup and Dolce.

 

Update: A rep for the network said in a statment that these reports are “absolutely untrue”.
