Don Imus The Pacman Jones Controversy
Don Imus has done it again! Imus is in headlines for some remarks he made about Dallas Cowboy Adam "Pacman" Jones, after sports anchor Warner Wolf noted how many times the Dallas Cowboys cornerback has been arrested since being drafted in 2005.
Wolf: “He’s been arrested six times since being drafted by Tennessee in 2005.”
Imus: “What color is he?”
Wolf: “He’s African-American.”
Imus: (chuckles) “There you go. Now I know.”
Imus is now explaining away his statement as a just a little something everyone misunderstood. He defended his comment by saying he was making a “sarcastic point.”
"What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason," he said. "I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times."
Imus was fired from CBS in 2007 after making racist comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team.
