The newly crowned American Idol David Cook was spotted out on a date with season two contestant Kimberly Caldwell over the weekend. The two dined at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
 

“I went out on a date the other day with a woman named Kimberly Caldwell,” the 25-year-old confessed on Live with Regis and Kelly Tuesday morning. “I did [have a good time]. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”
 

 TMZ.com caught Cook and Caldwell on camera and asked if there would be anymore dates. “Probably, yeah,” Cook said.

So i don't like kimberly i will say that up front. i absolutely adore david and think he should date but not now. he should wait for his first album to come out and THEN start dating (just not her). The first album for him is very crutial and it needs to say something. With this kind of distraction i'm afraid he will fall short. I can't stand kimberly he could do SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than her.
