What’s Happening with Zooey Deschanel?
Zooey Deschanel, the Almost Famous babe stars in M. Night Shyamalan’s new film “THE HAPPENING” together with Oscar nominee Mark Wahlberg.
The actress/singer/song writer who was awarded as best actress for her role in ALL THE REAL GIRLS at the Mar Del Plata Film Festival, has made a name for herself in films including Mumford and The Good Girl, as well as more mainstream fare including Almost Famous and Elf. 'The Happeing' will be her first big-budget thriller.
The film is centered around a major eco-disaster that sends her and a band of survivors on a life-or-death journey to outrun it. When a succession of strange proceedings begin to draw awareness to the world's populace, high school teacher Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), his wife Alma (Zooey Deschanel) decide it's time for them to un away from their current lives. They find themselves struggling for survival as they try evading what seems to be an apocalyptic calamity threatening the world.
The Happening will be released on Friday, June 13, 2008.
