The 27-storey skyscraper being built in Mumbai, India, by Mukesh Ambani, the fifth richest person in the world, could be the world's largest and costliest home, according to Forbes magazine.
The residence called Antilia, with a price- tag nearing $2 billion , has 4,00,000 square feet of interior space. The house will resemble a virtual glass palace, with entertainment centres offering panoramic views of the Arabian Sea, health club, swimming pool and a four story open green gardens. The abode will reportedly have a home theater and a helipad, and the tower will include six floors for 168 car parking spaces.
Antilla's living quarters begin at a lobby with nine elevators, as well as several storage rooms and lounges. Down dual stairways with silver-covered railings is a large ballroom with its ceiling covered in crystal chandeliers.
All of this is for one family -Ambani, his wife, Neeta, their three children and Ambiani's mother.
Mukesh Ambani, with a net worth of 43 billion dollars, heads Reliance Industries, an oil and petrochemicals giant.
