Celebrities, including Ashlee Simpson, Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Pam Anderson and the Jonas Brothers descended on Washington D.C. last night for 2008 White House Correspondents' Association dinner at the Washington Hilton Hotel.
During the course of the evening, president George W Bush said he “was surprised his potential successors were not in the audience before making jokes at their expense.”
"Pamela Anderson and Mitt Romney in the same room?" Bush said. "Isn't that one of the signs of the apocalypse?"
Bush also joked about his daughter Jenna's May 10 wedding to fiancé Henry Hager.
"Senator [John] McCain's not here," the president told the audience. "He probably wanted to distance himself from me a little bit. You know, he's not alone. Jenna's moving out too."
