Tom Cruise Auditioned His Wife

Ex-Scientologist, Marc Headley, says Katie Holmes was Tom Cruise's fourth choice as his wife . Marc told the News of the World (via PageSix)  that Tom told his best girlfriend and Scientology leader, David Miscavige, that he was having trouble finding women. The church sent out the casting call that said "There’s an upcoming Tom Cruise movie you might get a part in. Come for an audition.”
 

Marc said, “They went for Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba, in that order. Jennifer and Jessica didn’t bite but Scarlett took the bait and came in for an audition. When she arrived and found out it was the Scientology Center in Hollywood, she freaked out and didn’t do a tape…”
 

Katie was their fourth choice and she showed up to the Scientology center for an audition. Tom apparently told David that when he met Katie he knew she was the one.
