Singer-actress Sophie Monk has spoken out on her break up with ex-fiance Benji Madden and his hook-up with socialite Paris Hilton. Monk denied rumors that she was dumped by Madden to be with party girl Paris.
"Let me make this as plain as possible, Benji did not leave me for Paris Hilton. Benji and I did not break up badly or anything like that," she said in a statement.
Wishing Paris Hilton luck with her ex-boyfriend, she added, "We both decided as adults our relationship had run its course and decided to move on. I feel no animosity toward Benji and Paris at all and am very happy with life at the moment."
Member of female pop group Bardot, Monk and Good Charlotte musician, Madden announced their separation in mid-February after being together for 18 months.
