Federal Court Denies Britney

A federal judge on Tuesday ruled that Britney Spears' conservatorship case should remain in a California court, rejecting a claim that the local system's decision to temporarily place dad Jamie Spears in charge of her affairs had violated her civil rights.

Apparently the attorney mounting the challenge against Jamie Spears didn’t have the authority or clearance to do so.  U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez went so far as to rebuke Jon Eardley for claiming to represent the “Gimme More” singer.

He ruled, “Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot.  Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant. While he claims to be Ms. Spears’s attorney, the probate court ... found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel.”

In other Britney news, the troubled pop singer created a paparazzi frenzy as she hit up the Levi’s store in Beverly Hills . And while cops were called in to save the day, it was the Britney who got ticketed for parking in the red zone. Watch the video!
