Nicole Kidman is rumoured to have told family and friends over Christmas that she is expecting her first child with husband Keith Urban, according the UK's Daily Mail.
Kidman's Australian publicist, however, has denied the reports, saying that it was simply a rumour made up over the silly season.
It is incorrect . . . she must have had about 30 babies by now," her spokeswoman told News.com.au. "She's in Australia making a film and her family are in Australia. She's happily ensconced away somewhere having a few days break. It's the silly season. As far as we're concerned, it's another rumor out of London."
But one of Kidman's friends said it was "conceivable" the actress was almost three months pregnant.
Kidman has two other children – Isabella, 14, and Connor, 12 – whom she adopted during her marriage to Tom Cruise. Cruise and Kidman divorced in 2001 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
After her split from Cruise in 2001, Kidman admitted she'd suffered an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in miscarriage at one point in their 10-year marriage. "From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies. And we lost a baby early on, so that was really very traumatic," she told Vanity Fair.
Kidman and the country singer have been married since June 2006. Kidman has talked openly about wanting another baby. "I'm yearning to have one," she told Vanity Fair in September. "I think I would be very sad if I wasn't able to have a baby. Keith knows I want one, and he has been getting there slowly."
In an interview in February on Oprah's Oscar Special, Russell Crowe asked the actress if she planned on getting pregnant. "I hope so," she replied.
If Nicole is pregnant, this is great news for her and Keith. I am sure Nicole and Keith will make one hell of a beautiful kid. The actress reportedly spent Christmas in Sydney with her husband.
