Paris Hilton on drunken elephant

On : 2007 Nov 15
Reports that Paris Hilton endorsed helping drunken elephants turn out to be false. Lori Berk, a publicist for Hilton, said she never made any comments about helping drunken elephants in India. In the story, which ran earlier this week, the hotel heiress was quoted as saying she was terrifies to discover 40 of the animals were electrocuted after drinking rice-beer in north-east India. On Wednesday's Ellen Degeneres show, Paris said, "I read that and I was like, `How would an elephant get alcohol in the first place? Why would I talk about that? Why would I care if an elephant got drunk? Can an elephant get drunk?' I've never talked about that in my life. I didn't even know an elephant could get drunk."
