Britney Spears' Rehab Tennis Partner Unmasked...By His Very Own Publicist

Lately, we've been hearing about Britney Spears' divorce settlement, new hairpieces and rumored back-scratching arrangement with TMZ. But it wasn't so long ago that Brit was chrome-domed, in rehab thrice, and—evidently—passing the time by taking up with a mystery rehab suitor. And several weeks after our initial (mild) interest waned, said suitor has come forward to reveal his identity! Turns out Britney's Promises buddy is none other than slightly famous musician, Howie Day! Thankfully, Howie's publicist is not one to let this opportunity go to waste. And, somehow, Page Six scores the "exclusive." SO much for rehab being anonymous. Musician Howie Day's publicist wrote to Page Six to tell us that Britney Spears' recent unidentified tennis partner at Promises rehab center in Los Angeles, where they were photographed, is none other than her client. Day is evidently being treated at the facility, and his rep informed us, "He is promising to finish his next album when he emerges." We can't wait for that new album, Howie! Quick suggestion: maybe see if you can milk the whole rehab love affair thing even more by writing a song about that day you and Brit spent sitting across from each other at the Promises cafeteria? It'll totally be a Top 400 hit!
