I just don't know how to feel about this news. On the one hand, it's a wedding and you know we love weddings. On the other, it's Kate marrying Pete. Either way, it's supposedly a done deal. Well sort of. The Sun reports it was a Buddhist ceremony so it won't be legally recognized until the next wedding in a few weeks. Here's more:

The lovers had water sprinkled over their heads as a Thai priest pronounced them man and wife.

Friends and family clapped and cheered — even though the New Year’s Day union at a villa overlooking a Phuket beach is NOT legally binding in the UK.

Their REAL wedding is tipped to take place on January 18. The Sun can exclusively reveal that pals of Kate, 32, have been asked to keep the date free in their diaries.

During yesterday’s traditional Thai ceremony the couple had flowers draped over their shoulders and cupped their hands in prayer.

Kate’s mum Linda jetted into Phuket specially for the hush-hush ceremony.
